Fruit of the Artocarpus Pedalai A species of evergreen tropical rainforest tree belonging to the Moraceae family is called Sericarpus. Frequently referred to as Peluntan, Pedalai, Gumihan, or Terap Bulu. It is a relative of breadfruit and jackfruit. The Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Northern Borneo are the tree’s native countries. Locals prize the fruit, which is frequently collected in the wild. In the Philippines, the tree is grown for its palatable fruits.
The pulp of the fruit is edible and considered very Sweet, juicy, and aromatic, but Artocarpus Sericicarpus does not have a strong odor of the marang. The seeds can be eaten as well; often, people will roast or boil them and eat them like peanuts.
