The mango cultivar known as “Nam Dok Mai” originates in Thailand. The name “Nam Dok Mia” means “Sweet Juice of a Flower” in English. Because of this, some locals claim that the scent of this mango type is similar to daffodils. It is a medium-sized tree that might grow to be over six metres tall. The fruit quality is superb, with a rich, sweet flavour and pale green or yellow, fiberless flesh. Commercial Nam Doc Mai cultivation is practised in Colombia and Australia.
