The Western Ghats of Southern India, all of Sri Lanka, and the tropical rainforests of Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines are where it first appeared. It is a rapidly expanding evergreen tree that can reach a height of 25 metres, though it usually stays smaller. It is especially prized for its fruit. For its edible fruit and seed, which can be consumed raw or cooked in a number of ways, the tree is widely farmed in tropical areas, particularly in southeast Asia and Brazil.
This jackfruit, which is of Cambodian origin and has orange-red flake colour, weighs between 8 and 12 kg. As the fruit ripens, part of the carbs are transformed into sugars, making the fruit sweeter. At this point, it is frequently consumed raw but is still still cooked like a vegetable. combining a sweet flavour, the firmness of the acorns, and a nice aroma.
