A fruit tree known as the “Araza Boi Fruit” or “Eugenia Stipitata” is indigenous to the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador. The Amazonian pear is also known as Araza in Spanish and Araca, Araca Boi in Portuguese. A type of fruit tree in the guava family is called an araza boi.

The colour of the fruit is a vivid orangish-yellow. The enormous, spherical, golden fruit has a very distinct sweet and sour flavour and a smooth, bubbling texture. By the fall, fruit is often mature and has a very strong fruity aroma. The Araza Boi fruit tree belongs to the guava family.
