Small to medium-sized Dovyalis zeyheri trees can reach heights of 2 to 13 metres. In southern Africa, the stem can be solitary or multi-stemmed. It resembles the Kei Apple in terms of overall appearance. You can eat the orange-yellow fruits uncooked. It tastes somewhat tangy, delicious, and sweet.
