Climbing plants like Passiflora laurifolia have very rapid growth rates. It is a native of tropical Americas and is also referred to as the water lemon, Jamaican honeysuckle, golden bellapple, pomme liane on Martinique and Guadeloupe, and orange lilikoi. It develops on a strong vine that can reach a length of 30 feet, and grows best in conditions that are a little humid. The medium-sized, ovaloid fruit often has a white-yellow, exceptionally juicy, sweet pulp and a deep orange skin. has a wonderful mild flavour that is fragrant yet without the tartness of regular passionfruit.
