Rambutan is closely related to tadal fruit. It is a medium-sized tree with a narrow, rounded crown and a short trunk. The tree is taken out of the wild and used locally as food. The fruit has a bumpy red, purple, or yellow peel and is ovoid to spherical in shape, measuring around 2-3 inches (5-7.5 cm) long. The pulp has a taste similar to litchi and is white or yellowish, transparent, juicy, sweet, and aromatic.
