The plant species Annona spraguei belongs to the Annonaceae family. The Panama and Columbian rainforests are home to this extremely rare Annona. The tree produces tiny, palatable fruits with a sweet, soft texture. The fruits resemble a rambutan in that they have noticeable hair-like characteristics. Compared to most Annona, these seeds are substantially smaller. It is a great fruit tree for tropical climates. To produce fruit from seeds, the plant needs two to three years.
