As a member of the Annonaceae family and a fast-growing, evergreen plant with a long heritage of traditional use, sour sop, or Annona Muricata, is primarily found in tropical and subtropical regions of the world.
The fruit smells like a pineapple, has a distinct sweet subacid flavour, and pulp that is extremely juicy and packed with vitamins A and C. The fruit of the muricata tree is frequently used to make syrups, candies, drinks, ice cream, and shakes.
