Lemon/citrus without seeds In the Rutaceae flowering plant family, the Limon is a species of small evergreen tree that is indigenous to Asia, particularly Northeast India, Northern Myanmar, and China.
Lemons without seeds are aromatic, juicy varieties of the citrus fruit. Lemons taste sour and tart with a very faint trace of sweetness. They have a distinct zesty sour flavour and are bright and vibrant, but because of their mouth-puckering bitterness, they cannot be consumed whole like other citrus fruits.
Vitamin C is abundant in lemons, giving 64% of the Daily Value in a 100 g serving as a benchmark (table). Numerous phytochemicals, including as polyphenols, terpenes, and tannins, are present in lemons. Citric acid concentrations in lemon juice are somewhat higher than in lime juice, about twice as high as in grapefruit juice, and roughly five times higher than in orange juice.
