A little tree belonging to the myrtle family by the name of Red Strawberry Guavas is indigenous to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America.
The fruits are modest, ranging in size from 2 to 4 cm, and are round to oval in shape. When completely laden, they are very attractive. Green fruit turns crimson and then dark red as it ripens. The flavour of strawberry guavas is sweet, fruity, and flowery, with a perfume reminiscent of both strawberries and roses.
Fresh guavas are frequently consumed raw and can be cut and served with sugar and cream as a dessert. They are high in vitamins A, B, and C.
