The popular type of Rambai plants known as Red Rambai/Baccaurea Motleyana is very alluring due to its distinctive red colour. It is also mostly found in the wild and grown in attractive quantities in backyard gardens. When fruit is mature, it is almost spherical and becomes brownish-yellow without splitting. Each seed has a tasty, transparent, crimson aril that can be eaten.

Planting and Care

Rambai trees require 80 to 100% of their available light, and they like a well-drained, all-purpose potting soil. In the winter, young plants should be brought inside.
