Native to South America, Central and Eastern Brazil, and Bolivia, Red Arachitchu/Annona Cornifolia grows slowly and reaches heights of 2 to 3 metres. In order to thrive, it prefers a sunny location on acidic, sandy soils. The fruit’s diameter ranges from 2 to 3 cm and is orange-red. Its pulp is orange to scarlet and quite sweet.
