Medium to big, evergreen Artocarpus kemando trees can reach heights of up to 40 metres. However, it is typically smaller in stature than some of its more well-known relatives. It is a unique, smaller-flowered Artocarpus from the Bornean jungle that looks like a miniature jackfruit. The fruits have a mellow, almost melon-like flavour and have green to yellow skin. The tree’s edible fruit and latex, which are used locally, are taken from the wild.
