Pitomba, also known as Eugenia Luschnathiana, is a very rare fruit that is indigenous to Brazil, common in the North East, and simple to locate in the North. Surinam Cherry, Pitanga, Cherry of the Rio Grande, and Grumichama are all related to it. In Brazil, it is additionally known as Pitomba-Da-Bahia, Uvalha Do Campo, Ubaid Do Campo, or Uvalheira.
Pitombas are lovely, tiny trees that bear lots of globose, yellow, fragrant fruit that resembles cherries. The fruit is vivid orange in colour and has a soft, juicy, golden-yellow pulp. Its pulp is white, sweet, little acidic, and flavorful.
