Clausena excavata is an evergreen shrub with a height of 1-2 metres that is indigenous to Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is a member of the Rutaceae family. It is a tropical fruit tree that is quite unusual and sturdy in the cold. Giant flower clusters and tiny pink berries are produced by Pink Wampee trees. The fruit’s smooth texture and distinctive flavor—sweet and lemony with hints of fennel, coriander, licorice, and coffee—are what set this transparent lipstick pink fruit apart from others.
