Nangadak Live Plants

“Nangkadak” plant breeding is produced by combining Mini Jacket and Cempedak. Although the plant looks similar to cempedak, the fruit has a round egg shape lengthwise and is smaller, more resembling a mini jackfruit. The fruit’s bright yellow flesh is low in fibre, soft, and readily separates from the skin and dami. It has a flavour that is a cross between jackfruit, durian, and pineapple.

Common name: Nangadak

Blooming time/Fruiting: 3-4 Years

Maintenance required: Low

Weight 2.5 kg
Planting and Care

To prevent other plants from competing with your jackfruit tree for nutrients and moisture in the soil, it's important to maintain the soil evenly moist and to routinely weed the area around the tree. Mulch around the tree can aid in both retaining moisture in the soil and suppressing weed growth.

Special Feature

The fruits, leaves, and bark of the jack tree have long been used in traditional medicine due to their anticarcinogenic, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, and hypoglycemic effects.

Uses/Benefits

Its edible fruit and seed fruit can be consumed uncooked or prepared in a variety of ways, making it unique. Unripe fruit's carbohydrate-rich pulp is frequently served as a vegetable. Some of the fruit's carbohydrates are converted into sugars when it ripens, making the fruit sweeter.
