It’s a dwarf Myrciaria species that grows as a shrub and can reach heights of 2 to 2,5 metres. Myrciaria sp Roxa is an exceptionally rare evergreen shrub or tiny tree with a little crown. It is taken from the wild for its edible fruit, but it is not very well known here. Bahia state in Brazil is the original home of Myrciaria sp. Roxa. One of the best-tasting Myrciaria, it has a sweet and somewhat acidic flavour.
