One of the rarest species in the indigenous genera Myrciaria and Plinia of Cuba is the Myrciaria Asa-Grayi (Plinia Asa-Grayi). The seeds do not adhere to the pulp, the bark is very thin and edible, the fruits are of good size, and there is abundant fruiting on this species, making it unquestionably one of the best in Cuba. Its fruits are sweet with a flavour that is reminiscent of Myrciaria Punctata, Psidium Guajaba, and other unique flavours, something difficult to describe.
