Medrono, also known as Garcinia sp. Medrono, is a rare, tasty, and edible Garcinia that is indigenous to northern South America. Unknown species that is distinct from Garcinia madruno (Madroo). The 8 cm × 4 cm orange to golden fruit has a sizable amount of white, sweet pulp inside. Its development habits are similar to those of other Garcinia species. Probably not very cold tolerant.
