In addition to being a huge evergreen tree, Malabar chestnuts, or Pachira Aquatica, may be grown as a potted bonsai tree. The tree is also known as the Guiana chestnut, Saba Nut, Money Tree, Money Plant, Provision Tree, and Guyana chestnut and is used as a street tree, a source of shade, and a decorative in gardens. Raw malabar chestnut seeds are delicate and have a flavour reminiscent of peanuts. When cooked, they get a potent chestnut and macadamia nut flavour that is crunchy and mildly sweet and nutty. Along with protein, lipids, and fat, the nut also contains tryptophan, threonine, and phenylalanine, three amino acids that may aid in boosting growth.
