An abundant evergreen tree native to Indonesia, the Mahkota Dewa/ Phaleria Macrocarpa is also known as God’s Crown, Pau, Makuto Rojo, Makutadewa, Makuto Mewo, Makuto Queen, and Crown of Gods.
The fruit’s semi-smooth exterior skin, which is green when unripe and a vivid red when mature, features microscopic grooves spanning the length of the fruit. White, fibrous, and watery describes the inner flesh.
