A tiny tree in the myrtle family, the guava (Psidium guajava) is indigenous to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and northern South America.
The seedless Madhuri Guava has a fruit weight range of 300-750 grammes, a distinctive flavour, and sweet pink flesh. It has been compared to papaya or a hybrid of a strawberry and a pear. Its delicate, luscious meat has a fragrant, musky scent.
Fresh guavas are frequently consumed raw and can be cut and served with sugar and cream as a dessert. They are high in vitamins A, B, and C.
