A member of the Myrtaceae family, the genus Eugenia, which has between 1023 and 1154 species, is Eugenia ligustrina. This unusual fast-growing eugenia variety has small, delicious fruits that turn red to black when fully ripe. It is also quite easy to grow in a pot. The height of the trees ranges from 2.5 to 3.5 metres.
