Lemba Fruit/Curculigo Capitulata/Curculigo Latifolia is a stemless, evergreen, perennial plant that grows to a height of around 60 cm and produces a cluster of leaves from the roots. Miracle ginger is lomba. The fruit has an ironically acidic flavour rather than a sweet one. However, the subsequent food will taste sweet after eating the fruits. A protein called curculin is the molecule that gives the taste its sweetness.
In warm temperate and tropical climates, lemba is frequently grown as an ornamental. As long as the soil is fertile, humus-rich, moisture-retentive but well-drained, it may even be grown in humid subtropics and practically frost-free warm temperate regions.
In folk medicine, the entire plant is utilised. To manufacture nets, rope, and other items from the leaves’ strong, lightweight fibre
