Kumquat Live Plant (Fortunella japonica)

The genus Fortunella Japonica, also known as the kumquat, is an evergreen shrub or tree native to Eastern Asia that is cultivated for its sour orange fruits. In the subtropics, these little trees are farmed. In some parts of the United States and other countries, branches from the kumquat tree are used as holiday decorations.

Kumquat fruit is bright orange-yellow in colour, round or oval in shape, and about 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter. Its flesh is pleasantly acidic and juicy, and its pulpy, pulpy skin is delicious and edible. You may make jams and jellies out of these fruits or you can eat them fresh.

Kumquat plants grow to a height of between 2.4 and 3.6 metres (8 and 12 feet). Mostly thornless, the branches bear lustrous, dark green leaves.
