Borneo and the adjoining Philippine island of Palawan are home to the enormous tropical vine-bearing plant known as Willughbeia sarawacensis, sometimes referred to as kubal, kubal madu, and tabo. This fruit has orange-brown skin and apparently wonderful orange-colored pulp with a sherbet flavour. The fruits resemble pears in form.
