An evergreen shrub called Kak Jam Fruit/Lepisanthes Rubiginosa is covered in clusters of white to yellow-white blooms. This fruit matures from red to purple to black. This fruit has a mildly acidic and bitter flavour.
It can develop into anything from a huge shrub to a tiny tree. The fruit looks like a globular berry and is topped by a pea-sized cup-shaped branch. When ripe, it will be black or purple.
It is recommended to consume a leaf decoction to alleviate anaemia. Dysentery is treated with leaf juice. In order to obtain food, medicine, and timber locally, the plant is gathered from the wild. Subacid flavour that is also a little bit astringent. Large clusters of the long, ovoid fruit are produced.
