Blue Velvet/Jaboticaba Mucuri/Plinia Sp./Mucuri Mud Jaboticaba is a native of the Minas Gerais, Brail, woodland that is home to the Mucuri River’s sources. Peluda do Mucuri differs greatly from other jaboticabas, and botanists will probably eventually classify it as a separate species. The plant’s little fuzzy fruit suggests that Plinia sp. Malacacheta Jaboticaba and Plinia sp. Sapuca Jaboticaba are possibly its closest relatives.
When the fruits are fully mature, they have a deep purple colour, have a velvety skin texture, and have sweet, flavorful fruits.
