Unusual-looking evergreen woody climber Uvaria Hirsuta Jack is a rare member of the Annonaceae family. Singapore, Peninsular Malaysia, and Myanmar are its native home countries. Because of the fruit’s hairy exterior, it is frequently referred to as the “Wild rambutan.” It is a 5–15 m long woody and thin climber. For local use, the plant’s fruit is collected from the wild. The 2- to 3.5-cm-long, hairy, orange, cylindrical fruits have an excellent sweet flavour. Egg-shaped seeds are arranged in two rows inside each fruit. The plant thrives on fertile, loamy soils that drain well and are moist.
