A species of tree in the Myrtaceae family is called Psidium sartorianum. It is a native of and is an evergreen tree with a dense, subglobose crown. North across Central America to Mexico and Cuba via Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, and America. It has a 6 to 15 metre height range. The straight bole’s diameter ranges from 20 to 40 cm. For domestic usage, the eatable fruit is foraged from the wild. The plant is also frequently grown as an ornamental and for its delicious fruits in Mexico and Puerto Rico. The fruit’s diameter ranges from 10 to 15mm and is a light golden colour. It has a mildly sweet, rich, spicy, subacid flavour and may be consumed raw or cooked. Fruit is also used to make jellies and a cool beverage.
