A uncommon, tiny, shrubby tree from Brazil’s Atlantic woodlands, Eugenia stigmatosa reaches heights of 6 to 15 feet. For usage as food locally, the eatable fruits are collected from the wild. It produces little, red-skinned fruits with an enormous seed and an edible pulp. According to others, the flavour has distinct nuances and is comparable to perfume guava. It takes a seed-grown plant two to three years to bear fruit.
