The plant species Annona conica belongs to the Annonaceae family. It only exists in Ecuador. Subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests are its native habitats. It typically grows to a height of 3 to 5 metres. For its edible fruit, the tree is collected from the wild. The plant produces long cone-shaped white-yellow flowers that are followed by tasty yellow fruits. The fruits feature white, sweet, and tender flesh and are around 12 cm long. Due to the gradual extinction of its original habitat in Ecuador, this extremely rare Annona species is now listed on the red list. For container growers, Annona conica is a great choice.
