Eugenia Guajai-Una is a rare member of the Myrtaceae family. It is native to the Atlantic Forest understory in the Brazilian states of Espirito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, and Paraná. It is a medium-sized tree, growing up to 8 metres high in the forest and 2 to 3 metres high in direct sunlight. For their edible fruits, the edible fruits are produced in home gardens as well as collected from the wild. from July to September is fruiting. The fruits have a very pleasant flavour and may be eaten raw. They are also used to produce drinks and ice cream. The flowers offer excellent potential for beekeeping.
