A rare Jaboticaba from the Myrtaceae family that is native to Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Venezuela, and the Caribbean is called Guaburiti Jaboticaba/Plinia Rivularis. It is a slow-growing tree that needs between 5 and 7 years from the seedling plant to begin bearing fruit. The tiny berry-like fruits are believed to have a delectable flavour when eaten straight from the tree or added to a variety of drinks and sweets.
