The shrub and tree species Stylogyne longifolia belongs to the Primulaceae family. They have a growth type that can support itself. This species is native to Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela. With the exception of the Caribbean region, it grows between 0 and 1700 msmn in every part of the nation. Both food and medication are made from it. The little fruits are primarily used to make jams and confections as well as fresh fruit consumption. They have a pleasant flavour that is sweet and tart with a hint of blueberry.
