a fruit that is extremely rare that comes from Borneo’s woods. The fruits have dark skin, are spherical, and can weigh up to two pounds. White, very sweet, with a hint of tartness, and exquisite, pulp. Other than this, it’s pretty difficult to define the flavour. It is a delectable, intoxicating fruit that would undoubtedly find a market and have great potential as a commercial crop, but it is still mostly unheard of and doesn’t seem to be grown anywhere. All of the fruits that make their way to Borneo’s local markets are collected from the wild. The plants are quite productive, and the vines would thrive with suitable and substantial support trellises. Fruiting appears to occur throughout the year.
