One of the elusive species of the cerrado habitat, Eugenia Langsdorfii is predominantly found in the cerrado sensu strito (savanna) and cerrado (dense savannas) in the state of Goiás. The plant is a 40 cm tall low bush with several stems emerging from a subterranean Xylopodium. According to reports, the fruit is diminutive, grass green, and has an avocado-like flavour.
