A species of tree in the Malvaceae family, Durio graveolens is also known as the red-fleshed durian, orange-fleshed durian, or yellow durian. Italian naturalist Odoardo Beccari named six durian species, including this one. It is a typical durian tree, standing at roughly 50 metres high. It has comparable needs to the majority of durian species, although it can grow up to 1,000 metres above sea level and is significantly more tolerant of higher altitudes. It grows all across Borneo, on farms in Mindandao and Peninsular Malaysia, as well as on the Philippine island of Palawan. It is also rumoured to have been seen in Sumatra. The exterior of the little, brightly yellow fruit is occasionally stained brown. It is red and viscous, with a slight smell. craveable cheesy meat
