The durian fruit is a great source of energy since it contains a lot of carbs and dietary fibre, both of which are important for a healthy digestive system. In addition to vitamin C, it is rich in protein, folic acid, vitamin A, B vitamins, potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, sodium, zinc, and phosphorus (more so than most tropical fruits). Tryptophan, generally referred to as nature’s sleeping aid, is present in durian fruit and may also promote feelings of satisfaction and relaxation.
