Cutite Live Plant (Pouteria macrophylla)

A uncommon member of the sapotaceae family is the fruit tree Pouteria macrophylla. Typically, the tree grows to a height of 8 to 15 m. It is a Brazilian Amazon native tree. The fruit of the tree is occasionally taken from the wild because it is edible. The globose fruit has a thin skin and a thick pulp with characteristics like boiled egg yolk in terms of consistency and colour. It has a sweet scent, a potent flavour, and the moist pecan feel of pecans.
