Plinia clausa, a fruit from the tropics, is known just as “clausa.” It is a tree or bush that is typical of the wet forests of our Amazonia and is thought to be an endemic species to Peru. It can grow to be between 5 and 10 m tall and between 15 and 30 cm in diameter. For their edible fruits, the edible fruits are produced in home gardens as well as collected from the wild. The yellow-orange skinned fruits are eaten immediately as fresh fruit since they have a very good aroma and flavour.
