Large Australian evergreen shrub known as Cedar Bay Cherry (Eugenia Reinwardtiana) also goes by the common names Beach Cherry, Australian Beach, and Mountain Stopper. A member of the Myrtaceae family and a close relative of the lily pilly berry is the cedar bay cherry.
The bright orange-red exterior skin of Cedar Bay cherries is silky and shiny. They have a bulbous, spherical form. A cherry-like pit is enclosed in its delectable, velvety flesh. With berry and grape undertones, Cedar Bay cherries have a moderately sweet flavour.
