Ampelocissus/Wild Grape of Cambodia Martini is a hardy climbing shrub with woody stems that grows from tuberous rootstock. The stems cling to neighbouring plants for support by dangling their conspicuous tendrils from them. The edible fruit has been collected from the wild for domestic use. The flavour of the fleshy fruit is acidic and sweet at the same time, giving the tongue a smarting sensation. excellent for jellies. Young fruits are consumed with salt. The reddish-purple to black, globular fruit is a fruit and has a diameter of approximately 1 cm. Large fruit bunches are formed.
