Chinese oranges, also known as bush oranges, are small, bushy trees that resemble shrubs and bear an abundance of lime-sized oranges with very thin peels that can be pressed, sweetened, and blended to create orangeade or orange juice. and pigeon eye, masala, and pepper chilies (kandhari mulake in Malayalam).

Orange tea, similar to lime tea, can be made from these extremely sour oranges. Additionally to being used in fish curries, it can be pickled. Every two weeks, a robust 4-year-old plant in full sunlight yields between 212 to 3 kilos of fruit. The fruit-laden limbs are so heavy that they frequently brush the ground.
