The tropics and subtropics of Africa and Asia are the natural habitat of the burmese cherry, or Flacourtia SP. These cherry have a spherical, bulbous shape, and their exterior skin is lustrous, smooth, and has a vivid violet colour. It has a soft, juicy exterior and a cherry-like pit inside. Cherry flavour is nice and sweet, with berry and grape undertones.
