A dense-crowned tree with a height range of 5 to 30 metres is called Baccaurea polyneura. It comes from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand and is a less well-known Baccaurea. Noted for its sour-sweet flavour and pulp that ranges from bright red to orange. bears resemblance to the Tampoi. On stems up to 24 cm long, clusters of fruit are produced. The eatable fruit is collected in the wild for local consumption and occasionally sold in nearby markets.
