The Jaboticaba cultivar has a unique and exceptional flavour known as Branca Vinho/Plinia Phitrantha. The fruit of this jaboticaba is similar to red jaboticaba but has thicker skin. One distinguishing feature is that the skin’s rubbery texture frequently has tiny, sharp prickly points protruding out of it with a maximum of 20 points per fruit. It bears a couple times a year if fertilised and kept hydrated. Fruit from seeds must grow for 4 to 5 years.
