Evergreen climber Passiflora tripartita mollissima grows quickly, reaching a height of 5 m (16 ft) by 0.5 m (1 ft 8 in). 3-5″ long, delicate, yellow fruits are produced by the resilient passion flower vine. Although fruits can be consumed raw, they are typically used to produce ice cream, fruit salads, pies, jellies, cocktails, etc. The pungent, yellow, oblong fruits are prized for their juice. The fruit is approximately 35mm diameter and 70mm long. The pulp of the Passiflora tarminiana species’ pale yellow fruits is more aromatic, tangy, and flavorful than the flesh of those species’ deep yellow to orange fruits.
