Annona sylvatica (syn. Rollinia sylvatica) is an evergreen fast growing tree from the family Annonaceae, native to S. America – southern and eastern Brazil. . Its plentiful fruit is mainly gathered from the wild for local use, though it is also sometimes cultivated. The fruits are around 4cm x 4cm in diameter. It has a sweet, succulent pulp, but with a large amount of seeds. The plant takes 2 to 3 year to set fruit from seed.
